Colours to Wear Autumn / Winter 2018

Colours of the Season - Autumn / Winter 2018 I can finally start thinking about Autumn Winter 2018 fashion now that it has begun to cool off. So after trolling the Pantone Color Institute's  Fashion Color Trend Report here are their colour predictions for the cooler weather this year. Notice any similarities between these and their Spring Summer 2018 predictions? I also wanted to show you some great Autumn/Winter pieces you can buy locally that are embracing the new season colours:   Pantone Images: https://glowsly.com/pantone-fall-2018-colors-trends/ and https://www.pantone.com/fashion-color-trend-report-new-york-fall-winter-2018

Shorts and a Suit – How to Make this Look Work

As the weather starts to warm up your Man's suit does not have to be packed away until next winter. A few clever styling tips and your man will be stepping out in style. My passion is to style women in the latest trends but to style those trends for your body. So I am extra excited to do a shoot for you on how to style your man. Most men have a suit in their wardrobe, whether they got it for a school formal, a wedding or a job interview, but for some men that is where it stays – in their wardrobe! So ladies with a few clever styling tricks you can ensure your man gets a lot of wear out of his suit, and both of you can step out in style!!! When the weather warms up, don’t let your man pack his suit away. Get him to wear his suit jacket with a pair of dress shorts. The addition of the jacket can smarten up a casual summer look. When creating this look, keep to no more than 3 colours. I’ve found that for most men, any more than three colours can make the look appear chaotic rather than stylish. You are trying to achieve a look that is both comfortable and elegant, so team your man’s navy suit jacket with a white t-shirt. I have chosen a v neck t-shirt from DBS Menswear in Wynnum for this look. Add a pair of dress shorts, ditch the long and loose style for something slim and fitted that finishes above the knee. Next match the shoes and belt to either his jacket or shorts. For Alex I have chosen to accessorise this look with a casual leather slip-on shoe and matching belt which is perfect for less formal occasions. The colour teams with the tailored shorts. I have sourced the tailored shorts, t-shirt and, footwear and belt from DBS Menswear in Wynnum. If you want to take your man shopping, this is the store to go to. Peter and his team have a wide range and provide fabulous service.

BIB NECKLACE

A Bib Necklace is a great choice if you have a smaller bust. Teaming this style of necklace with a boat neckline and you have created the ideal look for a pear body shape because it widens your shoulders, creates interest on your upper body and balances your bottom half. LONG/MULTIPLE NECKLACES

Long and layered necklaces are ideal for smaller busts.  Team with a boat or scoop neckline top.  A boat neckline is a good option for a pear body shape, and a scoop neckline is the most versatile and the safest option for all body shapes.   Thanks to: Boutique: Grace Inspired @graceinspired, Facebook: Grace Inspired, http://www.graceinspired.com.au Photographer: Carla Benzie Facebook /Carla Benzie Gallery and Studio, Instagram @carlabenzie   Stylist:  Ma Belle Allure (My Beautiful Look), @mabelleallure, Facebook: Ma Belle Allure

V NECKLINE

V Necklines are flattering on nearly all body shapes, and works especially well if you have a larger bust but just ensure that the fabric falls softly over your bust line and isn't clingy.  If you have a long thin neck, just make sure the V isn't too deep as it may make your neck look too long.   Thanks to: Boutique: Grace Inspired @graceinspired, Facebook: Grace Inspired, http://www.graceinspired.com.au Photographer: Carla Benzie Facebook /Carla Benzie Gallery and Studio, Instagram @carlabenzie   Stylist:  Ma Belle Allure (My Beautiful Look), @mabelleallure, Facebook: Ma Belle Allur

COWL NECKLINE

A softly draped cowl neckline can add curves if you have a smaller bust by adding volume, but is also great at camouflage your larger bust if you have a long thin neck and a long décolleté line.  Team this style of neckline with some great statement earrings. CHOKER NECKLACE

A choker style necklace looks great if you have a long thin neck.  For an edgy look choose a choker the same colour as your top. BUTTONED COLLAR

Buttoned Collar https://youtu.be/ZbhTfvF0mYo Don't underestimate the importance of the right neckline for you when trying to look your best. A buttoned collar looks great if you have a smaller bust and a longer neck.  If you have a larger bust the lower the neckline the better so wear your collar unbuttoned. To complement a collar wear a pendant necklace because it suits almost everyone.  It can be worn under a buttoned up collar and also looks great worn when your collar is unbuttoned.   Thanks to: Boutique: Grace Inspired @graceinspired, Facebook: Grace Inspired, http://www.graceinspired.com.au Photographer: Carla Benzie Facebook /Carla Benzie Gallery and Studio, Instagram @carlabenzie   Stylist:  Ma Belle Allure (My Beautiful Look), @mabelleallure, Facebook: Ma Belle Allure

OFF THE SHOULDER

Off The Shoulder or Bardot Neckline works similar to a boat neckline so looks great on a smaller bust as it adds volume or on a pear body shape because it adds width to your shoulders and balances your bottom half.  If you have a thin neck, team this style with a pair of great statement earrings. PENDANT NECKLACE

A pendant necklace is a great choice for most body shapes.  However, you might need a slightly longer necklace if you have a round face or short neck.  The sheer, boat neckline blouse also suits a number of body shapes and looks stunning with this bright pendant necklace.
