DENIM FOR WINTER

I’ve got the best job ever. I get to play with clothes and hang out with some amazing and talented people. So when I got to work with the lovely Lee Watt from Soubret Pink in Brisbane and style my beautiful Ma Belle Allure models in their clothes I knew I was going to have so much fun doing this shoot. In this video I feature a high-waisted straight leg jean that flatters most body shapes and helps hide the dreaded “muffin top”.

Hi I’m Simone Parker from Ma Belle Allure. Our love of denim continues. Flares, patches, different washes – anything goes this season. To show you how to style denim for your body shape I have chosen a high-waisted straight leg jean from Soubret Pink in Brisbane. The wider waist band on these jeans suit most body shapes and can smooth out the dreaded “muffin top”.

I have teamed these high-waisted dark denim jeans on Gabby with neutral top and fringed waterfall cardigan to create a casual look. This style of cardigan suits a larger bust as it falls softly over this area. If you have a small waist like Gabby and sufficient gap between your bust line and your waist, try adding a belt to emphasis your curves. To create height and make you appear thinner, you can add a boot to match the colour of your jeans. This works because the boots appear to be an extension of your jeans and makes your legs look longer. A simple gold earring ties the whole look together.

The full poncho contrasts brilliantly with the high-waisted, dark denim, straight-leg jeans on the inverted triangle. The length of the poncho finishes around your slim legs and creates balance. Wearing your hair up makes you appear taller and a statement pair of earrings elongates your long neck. Lastly, turn up the hem of jeans to show off an on-trend pair of boots. You are now ready for a dinner out or drinks with friends.

I hope I have given you some tips today on how to style jeans for your body shape and you are inspired to create your own beautiful look. For more inspiration go to our website, subscribe to our YouTube channel an follow us on Facebook and Instagram.
