I love a Little Party Dress and I’ve got a number in my wardrobe just waiting for the right occasion to wear them. In the words of one of my very clever girlfriends “buy the dress and create the occasion to wear it!” True words of wisdom!!!! This video contains a number of little party dresses for several different body shapes.

Hi I’m Simone Parker from Ma Belle Allure. The Little Party Dress is a worthy investment for anyone’s wardrobe but not all styles suit all body shapes. In this video I will show you styles for your body shape.

This pretty little party dress with its fitted bodice and full skirt suits a pear or triangle body shape. The thin belt emphasises your slim waist and the full skirt falls nicely over your bottom and thighs. Some prints may make you look bigger but in this little party dress the background colour is more dominant than the small print so flatter your curves. Adding a necklace draws the attention toward your slim upper body and compliments your thin red belt. Team your dress with a nude shoe to elongate your leg, and make you look taller and slimmer.

The opulent heavy and luxurious see-through lace in this style from SFH Designs in Brisbane is so on-trend. Cut-away shoulders can make the inverted triangle look top heavy, however the beautiful sheer, slightly flared hemline on this dress balances the proportions and gives you more of an hour glass shape. The tie around the middle highlights your waist. The shorter length of the wide sleeve is also very flattering as it finishes at a similar level to your slim waist. The dress is a statement in itself so complement it with a great pair of earrings and a stunning pair of shoes.

The neckline on this little black peplum dress also from SFH Designs in Brisbane is flattering on your fuller bust. It gives good coverage but is still feminine. Be careful when you wear a peplum that there is enough distance between it and your bust or it can make you look top-heavy. You can add some interest to all-black through your accessories. I love the classic colour combination of cream and black, so I have added cream, tassel earrings, put Gabby’s hair up, which shows of her neck and makes her look taller and added these great cream and black T-bar heels. This is a great look for the office or an evening out.

I hope I have given you some tips today on how to style a little party dress for your body shape and you are inspired to create your own beautiful look. For more inspiration go to our website, subscribe to our YouTube channel, and follow us on Facebook and Instagram.
