Gorgeous Citrus Tones to Suit You | Ma Belle Allure | Florence and Marabel

All shades citrus are huge for spring and summer. Time to pack away the black and bring out colour, colour and more colour. Citrus is still big this season and with so many designers creating gorgeous pieces in this hue it is increasingly easy to find the right shade and style for you.

Citrus Trend | Ma Belle Allure | Florence and Marabel

Hello, I’m Simone Parker from Ma Belle Allure. Thanks for dropping by. I am so excited to bring you another styling video from my collaboration with Toowoomba boutique, Florence and Marabel. The citrus colour trend has been around for a couple of years and after wearing the dark winter shades, it is so nice to pop on something bright and colourful.

This gorgeous orange dress looks wonderful on Gabby. The cross over neckline gives coverage across your bust area. As it doesn’t have a defined waist it doesn’t cut you off around the middle and creates a long lean line from your bust to your hips. Try adding a belt if you are a column body shape to give you some curves or if you want to define your waistline. To slim and elongate your legs choose a heel in a similar colour to your skin. If you can’t wear heels try teaming this dress with a flat shoe once again in a similar colour to your skin tone. The fabulous neckline of this style of dress will draw the eye to your upper body if you are trying to hide any troublesome lower body areas. We have added a fabulous cuff that incorporates the orange of the dress but matches with Gabby’s earrings and shoes. The nude clutch with animal print tassel is the perfect accessory and ties this look together.

If you are not brave enough to wear all over bright citrus or it doesn’t suit your skin tone, why not try toned down citrus? With the combination of citrus and on trend stripes you can create a very fashionable look. If you are tall and slim like Cara this two piece is very flattering as it shows off your curves. Once again teamed with a heel the same colour as your skin makes you look taller and slimmer. However, if you aren’t comfortable wearing something as fitted as this two piece, team it with a “boyfriend” white shirt. The oversized style of this shirt can be worn out and long, giving you a long lean line. Button it up to cover a tummy or leave it open. Alternatively, if you want to create some curves, or you are already blessed with them, you can tie the shirt at your waist. This will give the illusion of width across your shoulders balancing a larger lower half. If you accessorise this look with a pair of sneakers your look appears youthful, vibrant and effortless.
