Vintage Jackie O Inspired Shoot LATEST NEWS September 21, 2018September 15, 20180 Vintage Jackie O Inspired Shoot Vintage fashion always has a few trends surfacing every season — whether it’s ruffles, vintage Levis or more classic styles. It’s been 24 years since former US first lady Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis passed away Non-Hodgkin lymphoma. Despite this lengthy passage in time, the her timeless appeal and glamour and one of the most iconic faces of the 20th century still influences fashion today. It was well known that Jackie O loved European designers such as Valentino, Saint Laurent and Chanel as well as her signature oversized sunglasses, Jackie O’s name is still linked to classic style and grace. In honour of the late style icon this photoshoot at the University of Queensland St Lucia channelled some of her signature looks. The original 50’s handmade fitted dress was styled with a modern twist, to bring it up to date and keep it relevant for today. Its easy to recreate this look for yourself. Essential for this look is oversized sunglasses…. a scarf to wrap around your hair and highlight your face……. and to modernize the look I’ve added an on-trend sheer sock, heel and bag…. all worn with a vintage hand made dress from the 1950s.
