So I'm a little late posting about this workshop so please forgive me. I've been a busy girl - no excuse I know! But please read on. When I first started Ma Belle Allure several years ago, my dream was to connect with women on all levels; emotionally, physically, spiritually and visually. Because I believe, that we are all beautiful, and beauty is more than just physical looks. It is confidence, compassion, positivity, love and nurturing – of yourself and of others. And to really make changes in your life and to start feeling great, you have to think of yourself as a whole not just how you look. So my Women Empowering One Another workshop has been the culmination of many years of planning. But let me tell you - it was so worth the wait. I created a value packed interactive, inspirational and informative workshop to help you feel better inside and out. There were lots of giggles, bubbles, tea/coffee and nibbles in this workshop. So what was it all about? It was a 3 ½ hour workshop where my guest presenters took you through practical steps to learn how to: Dress your Shape – fashion styling tips to help you look your best. Update your Look – how to get the best out of your existing makeup. What is your Core Desire – effective goal setting and how to recognise your core desire or direction Meditation & Mindfulness – learn simple techniques to relax, calm and centre yourself. I created this event to support and educate women like YOU to become the best version of yourself. The presenters were: Simone Parker - Brisbane and Perth based Fashion Stylist and Founder of Ma Belle Allure Julie McDonald OAM – Ambassador, Mentor and Motivational Speaker Kaitlyn Teasdale – Hair and Makeup Artist for KT Hair and Makeup Design Vincenza Benzie qualified Reflexologist From the Feet to Beyond and Anne Mackenzie Everyone was on such a high after this workshop and I was so grateful that I was able to make and impact on everyone that attended. Here is a few of the comments I received: What are people saying: "The workshop was fantastic and inspiring, Simone, as are all the women who both presented & supported. Everything shared was interesting & valuable. Thank you all! 💕 (Nikki, Newfarm)" "Charlie 🐻 and I had the most amazing afternoon. We had the chance to spend the afternoon at a workshop with the most inspirational and motivating ladies (Ange, Brisbane)" "Thank you for a lovely afternoon! Loved every minute of it and learned so much. 💗💜 (Julie, Brisbane)" If you would like to be notified when I am running my next workshop, please don't hesitate to email me on email@example.com
To all the amazing supporters of Farm Animal Rescue, Carla Benzie and Ma Belle Allure, thank you so much for attending our Farm Animal Rescue Silent Art Auction and Market Stall Fundraiser. The fabulous Queensland Autumn sunshine today made shooting today a little tricky due to the light and the heat, but we survived. In hindsight, black was probably not the colour to be wearing, but thank goodness for my signature white hat!!! Thousands of people were at the event that celebrated everything Greek from food, music, dance, culture and even more food. There were even rides for the kids as well as Channel 7, Radio station 97.3 and some stars from Home and Away. This year was the 41st year of the festive. During this time Paniyiri has become Queensland's "signature celebration of all things Greek and the state’s largest cultural festival as well as the country’s longest running Greek festival". A big thank you to Barb Mastoros from Grace Inspired, our talented photographer on the day Leoni from Leoni Bolt Photography, and our favourite model Cara Gilligan. Don't forget to checkout our Facebook and Instagram pages in the coming days for more pictures from the shoot. Cheers Simone xoxo
Fifties is the New Forties ONCE upon a time, hitting the big 50 was seen as the first step to retirement. Now, we are looking more and more youthful, as we are able to take advantage of better finances, better health and plenty of energy, to make 50 the new 40. And here's the proof with the gorgeous Robyn Davis. I met Robyn through a mutual friend and was instantly taken by her friendly personality, beautiful spirit and her amazing presence. As attractive as Robyn, beauty is more than just physical looks. It is confidence, compassion, positivity, love and nurturing – of yourself and of others and that's what attracted me to Robyn. So what makes your 50's more exciting is that our earlier years are often spent paying off our mortgage, raising kids, balancing family life and career. By 50, our children are often older and less reliant on us, so make the most of this new freedom and do things just for you! And that's just what happened with Robyn. We did an amazing 60 second makeover on her and she looks amazing.
What a successful Ma Belle Allure competition we ran in the last quarter of 2016. We had four colourful pompom clutches up for grabs. One was drawn each Monday for a period of four weeks. Some of our winners were: Amanda was another Winner Kylie from Ocean Grove was our final two winners (pic to come). I know many of my followers and subscribers would have missed out on winning one of the clutches so if you can't imagine your life without one and you desperately need to buy one, they are available from SFH Designs in Greenslopes Brisbane. If you are after a specific colour you can contact Sarah on SFH Design's Facebook page.
What a great night for the "Qualunque Cosa" Exhibition 2016 at the Carla Benzie Gallery and Studio. The record heat forecast for the day was less severe than expected and the rain held off so it was the perfect night for an outdoor movie followed by an exhibition of amazing photographs, artworks, and jewellery. So many people have been messaging asking to see the images that were shot on the night so here they are - all 236 of them!!! Also we haven't forgotten about everyone wanting to see the behind the scene images from the photo shoot on 23 October at Carseldine. There were well over 1000 images from the day. If you want to see them, we will be posting them on our website soon. So please Subscribe and you will be notified when they are ready to view!!! If you want a high resolution electronic copy of any of the images, please complete the contact form below. Please ensure you provide the number below the image so we know which ones you want.
Mother Nature turned on a 35 degree day for our swimwear shoot with Byron Blu Swimwear. We shot on location at The Bunyip Scenic Rim Resort at Charlewood, an hours drive out of Brisbane. Cara Gilligan makes my job so easy - the camera loves her! Getting ready for some sunset shots The shoot took about 4 hours and we captured some amazing images. But the best light was 3o minutes before sunset!
Attended a Melbourne Cup Event hosted by Fashion Weekly at the Capri on Fraser in Brisbane and our MC for the day was the gorgeous Stacey McGregor.
