Gorgeous Citrus Tones to Suit You | Ma Belle Allure | Florence and Marabel Videos December 13, 2016December 26, 20160 All shades citrus are huge for spring and summer. Time to pack away the black and bring out colour, colour and more colour. Citrus is still big this season and with so many designers creating gorgeous pieces in this hue it is increasingly easy to find the right shade and style for you. Thanks for dropping by. I am so excited to bring you another styling video from my collaboration with Toowoomba boutique, Florence and Marabel. The citrus colour trend has been around for a couple of years and after wearing the dark winter shades, it is so nice to pop on something bright and colourful. This gorgeous orange dress looks wonderful on Gabby. The cross over neckline gives coverage across your bust area. As it doesn’t have a defined waist it doesn’t cut you off around the middle and creates a long lean line from your bust to your hips. Try adding a belt if you are a column body shape to give you some curves or if you want to define your waistline. To slim and elongate your legs choose a heel in a similar colour to your skin. If you can’t wear heels try teaming this dress with a flat shoe once again in a similar colour to your skin tone. The fabulous neckline of this style of dress will draw the eye to your upper body if you are trying to hide any troublesome lower body areas. We have added a fabulous cuff that incorporates the orange of the dress but matches with Gabby’s earrings and shoes. The nude clutch with animal print tassel is the perfect accessory and ties this look together. If you are not brave enough to wear all over bright citrus or it doesn’t suit your skin tone, why not try toned down citrus? With the combination of citrus and on trend stripes you can create a very fashionable look. If you are tall and slim like Cara this two piece is very flattering as it shows off your curves. Once again teamed with a heel the same colour as your skin makes you look taller and slimmer. However, if you aren’t comfortable wearing something as fitted as this two piece, team it with a “boyfriend” white shirt. The oversized style of this shirt can be worn out and long, giving you a long lean line. Button it up to cover a tummy or leave it open. Alternatively, if you want to create some curves, or you are already blessed with them, you can tie the shirt at your waist. This will give the illusion of width across your shoulders balancing a larger lower half. If you accessorise this look with a pair of sneakers your look appears youthful, vibrant and effortless.
How to Wear the Lingerie Trend | Ma Belle Allure | Florence and Marabel Videos November 29, 2016December 26, 20160 The lingerie trend is gaining momentum but if the idea of wearing something that looks like your PJs out in public terrifies you, don’t panic as there are some clever styling tips to help you negotiate this trend. Thanks to: Boutique: Florence and Marabel www.florenceandmarabel.com.au @florenceandmarabel #florenceandmarabel Videographer: Sarah Robinson www.thevideobox.com.au Hair and Makeup: @keeleyshaemua, Facebook keeley-shae gilligan Models: Cara Gilligan, Gabrielle Witenden Stylist: Ma Belle Allure Video Transcript Lingerie Trend | Ma Belle Allure | Florence and Marabel Hello, I’m Simone Parker from Ma Belle Allure. I hope you are enjoying our collaboration with Toowoomba boutique, Florence and Marabel, this time showing you how to style the lingerie trend. The lingerie trend is gaining momentum but if the idea of wearing something that looks like your PJs out in public terrifies you, don’t panic as there are some clever styling tips to help you negotiate this trend. Team your lingerie piece with other items. Cara is wearing a loose fitting satin striped pant. A piece like this can be teamed with a khaki singlet and then a long line coat. The combination of satin and cotton makes this a more wearable trend. This look would also suit a column body shape as it gives you a waist. If you have a troublesome tummy, try wearing a looser blouse long enough to cover your tummy and wear it over the waist of your pants. The longline jacket will also help camouflage your tummy. The oversized collar of the jacket will help balance a wider bottom half. Triangles body shapes can also add a top with sleeves instead of a singlet. This will visually widen your shoulders making your proportions seem more balanced. A neutral shoe works with these pants because they are similar in tone, this make your legs appear longer and doesn’t visually cut your legs at your ankles. Finally, this great tote bag incorporates the khaki and navy tones but adds a pop of colour from the inner lining. Gabby is wearing a silky pants with zip detail pockets. The legs in these pants are loose and flattering if you have athletic legs or if you are heavy through the hips and thighs. A silky blouse in the same colour is teamed with the pant to create a long lean silhouette. The button opening on the neckline shows a bit of skin which flatters most bust sizes. So that this doesn’t look like PJs we have added a great long line jacket in a textured cotton. The jacket can be worn closed, or open as we have done showing off the eyelet and ties, drawing the eye away from your bustline and down towards your lean legs. To break up the monochrome of this outfit we have added a great pair of animal print ankle boots and a fabulous black clutch with animal print tassel. Once again we have worked with only 3 colours for this look and coordinated the animal print of the shoes with the tassel on the clutch. This keeps the look on trend and just a little bit edgy and alluring.
Latest Stripes and Gingham Trend – Look Fabulous in Them | Ma Belle Allure | Florence and Marabel Videos November 22, 2016December 7, 20160 Gingham and Stripes in monochrome and brights as well as pastel shades are a massive trend this season. You can look fabulous in these feminine versatile pieces!! Thanks to: Boutique: Florence and Marabel www.florenceandmarabel.com.au @florenceandmarabel #florenceandmarabel Videographer: Sarah Robinson www.thevideobox.com.au Hair and Makeup: @keeleyshaemua, #keeley-shae gilligan Models: Cara Gilligan, Gabrielle Witenden Stylist: Ma Belle Allure VIDEO TRANSCRIPT: Gingham & Stripes | Ma Belle Allure | Florence and Marabel Hello, I’m Simone Parker from Ma Belle Allure. Thanks for dropping by. Once again, I have collaborated with Toowoomba boutique, Florence and Marabel to show you how to wear stripes and gingham - a great wearable fashion trend for Spring 2016. This flattering black and white gingham dress is so on-trend. The neckline on this dress is flattering for a smaller bust. Also the cuffed kimono sleeves give some coverage to your upper arms - something that a lot of women prefer. The neckline and sleeve also draws the eye to your upper body which is perfect if you want to draw attention away from your lower body. The scooped hemline adds to the casual appeal of this dress. If you need a bit more coverage you can always add a pair of leggings. Team it with a belt if you want to create some curves. You can have some fun with the pattern of this dress and team it with a striped Espadrille – keep the look casual. As gorgeous as this dress looks for casual events, with a few clever styling tricks this fabulous little number can be worn to the races or an evening out. Add a pair of heels in the same colour as your belt. This just ties the look together. If you can’t wear heels there are a lot of really flattering lace-up sandals that would look great with this dress. Another popular fashion trend is the wide-brim, felt fedora. I have chosen a black fedora for Cara which looks fabulous with her blonde hair. Finally, you can add a pop of colour through your accessories. For most of us though, sticking with no more than three colours works best. So try adding a statement clutch or earrings. What a versatile addition this dress would be to your wardrobe. The second part of this trend is stripes - This striped skirt looks great on Gabby. If you are trying to camouflage anything on your upper body wearing a pattern on your lower body draws the eyes to your slim legs. Teaming this skirt with a plain coloured top is flattering and you can either wear the blouse loose if you want to disguise a tummy or add a belt to cinch in your waist to create or accentuate your curves. We have then added a heel to make you look taller. Wearing a closed in black boot or shoe can look great if your legs are long. But if you don’t have the legs of a super model they can make your legs appear shorter. So if you have fair skin tone and you want to wear black shoes try a pair that has thin black straps. They add length to your legs and make you look taller and thinner.
GORGEOUS COLOURFUL SILK KAFTANS | MA BELLE ALLURE | SFH DESIGNS Videos November 8, 2016December 26, 20160 Nothing screams summer to me more than a brightly coloured flowing Kaftan. The Kaftan is an effortless look for night or day. The silk fabric ensures it falls softly over your curves, flattering many body shapes. After wearing darker toned winter fashions the bright and colourful Kaftan seems to announce to the world that spring and summer are back! Thanks to: Boutique: SFH Designs facebook:SFH Designs, Instagram: @SFH_DESIGNS Videographer: Sarah Robinson www.thevideobox.com.au Hair and Makeup: Keeley Shae Facebook: Keeley-Shae – Makeup Artist, Instagram @keeleyshaemua Video Transcript: Kaftan | SFH Designs | Ma Belle Allure The Kaftan is an effortless look for night or day. The silk fabric ensures it falls softly over your curves flattering many body shapes. Ladies with a bigger bust can still wear a bra with this halter neck style. To conceal any glimpses of a bra or cover cleavage, layer heaps of bright necklaces. The length of the necklaces draws the eyes down to your slim waist and matches perfectly with the tassel earrings. The shorter length of the front gives you the opportunity to show of some leg so add a lace up nude heel which complements this Kaftan and elongates your legs. A great look for night. Another style influenced by the Kaftan is this cute short jumpsuit. It still has the vibrant colours and embellishments seen on the halter, but is a younger, flirty style. Ladies if you have great legs like Cara why not give this look some consideration. The flowing over layer on the top helps conceal a larger bust or a troublesome tummy but is suitable for most body shapes. Once again the silk content in this piece makes it fall beautifully over your curves. I have accessorised it with on trend lace up leather heels which lengthen your leg and had to add this amazing headpiece supplied by SFH Designs in Brisbane. So don’t be shy ladies – Embrace the colour and enjoy the effortless style of the Kaftan. And I hope I have inspired you to create your own beautiful look.
MAXI DRESSES | MA BELLE ALLURE | SFH DESIGNS Videos October 4, 2016December 27, 20160 My Maxi Dresses are some of my favourite items in my wardrobe. I have light flowing ones for summer and warm knitted ones for winter. I can pop one on to go shopping or dress them up to go out for dinner. Wear them with a strappy sandal in summer or a great boot in winter. Thanks to: Boutique: SFH Designs facebook:SFH Designs, Instagram: @SFH_DESIGNS, www.sfhdesigns.com.au Videographer: Sarah Robinson www.thevideobox.com.au Hair and Makeup: Keeley Shae Facebook: Keeley-Shae – Makeup Artist, Instagram @keeleyshaemua Models: Cara Gilligan and Gabrielle Witenden Stylist: Simone Parker, Founder of Ma Belle Allure Video Transcript: Maxi Dress | SFH Designs | Ma Belle Allure The maxi dress continues to be a fashion favourite because it’s comfortable, versatile and flatters most body shapes. I have chosen a bold geometric design for this look. If you are bigger around the bust the horizontal strips around this part would turn some of you away. However with a few stylish accessories you can create more of an hourglass look. Team the maxi with a gold drop earring and a longer line cape. The combination of a drop earring and the clean lines of the cape elongate your body as the eye follows the drop earring down the lapels of the cape. The length of the jacket finishes mid-thigh emphasising your thinner legs. A black clutch with gold embellishments, ties in beautifully with the gold earrings. Finally wearing your hair up and adding a black heel makes you seem taller, and you have created a simple, yet sophisticated look. If you have an inverted triangle body shape, you can also look fabulous in this maxi. Add a simple black belt to cinch in your waist. The horizontal stripes on the top add width to your bust area creating more balanced proportions. A statement clutch and matching earrings contrast beautifully with the geometric monochrome pattern of this maxi. You can also add a great wide-brimmed hat once again drawing the attention away from your shoulders. Because of the clash of colour and patterns in this style I have stuck with a plain black hat, and added a simple pair of black flats to keep the look relaxed and casual.
BOHO DRESS | MA BELLE ALLURE | SFH DESIGNS Videos September 27, 2016December 7, 20160 Cool and floaty fabrics are what the Boho trend is all about. A Boho dress is perfect for BBQs, alfresco dining and warm summers, so it is no wonder it is so popular. Depending on the fabric and cut the Boho style suits most body shapes and ages. Thanks to: Boutique: SFH Designs facebook:SFH Designs, @SFH_DESIGNS, www.sfhdesigns.com.au Videographer: Sarah Robinson www.thevideobox.com.au Hair and Makeup: Keeley Shae Facebook: Keeley-Shae – Makeup Artist, @keeleyshaemua Stylist: Ma Belle Allure @MaBelleAllure #MaBelleAllure Video Transcript: Boho Dress | SFH Designs | Ma Belle Allure The Boho trend is all about cool floaty dresses perfect for BBQs, alfresco dining and the warm summers. This Boho maxi from SFH Designs in Brisbane is a great style if you have a larger bust area. The lighter pattern around the centre emphasises your waist. Rolling up the sleeves, having them finish at a similar height to your waist also flatters your body shape. I think the boho dress looks great with natural accessories. A great woven straw bag and hat once again diverts the eye away from your bust area. The neutral gladiator heel just works with this look and will elongates your leg. I have accessorised the look further with oversized earrings in silver and blue tones which ties the whole look together. This look will suit women of all ages. The same Boho dress overwhelmed the inverted triangle. So instead, I styled Cara in a gorgeous strapless navy blue Boho dress also from SFH Designs in Brisbane. The frill over the bust area and shirring around the waist creates curves, while falling softly over your hips. Once again a neutral leather heel looks great with the Boho style and makes you look taller. You can have fun accessorising this style. Add a bright, pompom, embroided clutch, which will add width to your hips and thighs and balance your proportions. Wearing your hair up shows off the great long, navy, tassel earring and creates height and lengthens your neck. I have created two beautiful boho looks. I hope I have inspired you to create your own beautiful look.
Bare Shoulder Silhouettes for Spring and Summer | Ma Belle Allure | Florence and Marabel Videos September 22, 2016December 26, 20160 Either strapless to reveal full shoulders or with cut outs to reveal just a peek of shoulder, this look is sexy and feminine. It is also a look that suits a range of age groups and body shapes. Thanks to: Boutique: Florence and Marabel @florenceandmarabel #florenceandmarabel Videographer: Sarah Robinson www.thevideobox.com.au Hair and Makeup: #keeleyshaemua, @keeley-shae gilligan Models: Cara Gilligan, Gabrielle Witenden Stylist: Ma Belle Allure #mabelleallure @mabelleallure Video Transcript: Bare Shoulder Silhouette| Ma Belle Allure | Florence and Marabel Hello, I’m Simone Parker from Ma Belle Allure. Thanks for dropping by. Once again, I have collaborated with Toowoomba boutique, Florence and Marabel to show you how to wear the bare shoulder silhouette style trend. Either strapless to reveal full shoulders or with cut outs to reveal just a peek of shoulder, this look is sexy and feminine. It is also a look that suits a range of age groups and body shapes. This shorter length, denim off-the-shoulder dress is flirty and feminine and perfect for weekend brunches and daytime events. If you have thin toned legs like Cara this shorter length looks fabulous. The fullness of the dress is also great for hiding a tummy and can also work to disguise larger hips or thighs. You just need to choose the right length dress for your height. If you want a bit more coverage, this dress looks fantastic with a pair of tights. I have teamed this dress with a pair of espadrilles and an oversized bag for a casual, young and feminine look. This dress can also be up-styled for evenings or parties. If you want to give your figure some curves or show off the curves you are blessed with, add a great belt to cinch in your waist. I have then teamed this dress with these fantastic animal print ankle boots. These boots are very flattering even if your legs are a little heavier because you can undo the zip to give more room around the ankle. This extra width can actually make your legs appear slimmer. If your legs aren’t as long as Cara’s a block heel, strappy sandal will be comfortable to wear but has the added advantage of making your legs look longer. Another great thing about this little dress is an elasticised neckline allowing you to wear the dress at various positions on your shoulder – so you can choose the most flattering look for you. The denim off-the-shoulder dress didn’t suit Gabby because it made her look top-heavy. Instead we have styled Gabby in this great navy flowing shift dress. You get a similar relaxed look with this dress but the v neck line is far more flattering for a larger bust. The sleeve gives coverage to your upper arm, which a lot of women like. This dress would also be flattering if you have a troublesome tummy. Adding a block heel in a similar tone to your skin makes your legs look longer and slimmer. Team with an oversized bag and you are ready for any occasion.
JUMPSUIT | MA BELLE ALLURE | SFH DESIGNS Videos September 20, 2016December 26, 20160 Never underestimate how wearing a block colour can enhance your figure. And it doesn’t have to be boring. It gives you a base to start adding different on trend colours and accessories. The black jumpsuit is one of those pieces that you can add to, so you can create a look that suits you. Thanks to: Boutique: SFH Designs Facebook:SFH Designs, Instagram: @SFH_DESIGNS, www.sfhdesigns.com.au Videographer: Sarah Robinson www.thevideobox.com.au Hair and Makeup: Keeley Shae Facebook: Keeley-Shae – Makeup Artist, Instagram @keeleyshaemua Models: Cara Gilligan and Gabrielle Witenden Video Transcript: Jumpsuit | SFH Design | Ma Belle Allure From easy day dressing to a chic look for evenings the jumpsuit is a must have. For all body shapes an all-black jumpsuit creates a flattering unbroken silhouette that can be styled to suit you. If you have a fuller bust, to create balance roll up the cuff and team it with a nude shoe in a similar tone to your skin. This elongates your leg, makes you look taller and helps balance your proportions. Next add a long bright necklace. Choose the length of your necklace so it finishes at a similar level to the smallest part of your body. On Gabrielle the necklace finishes at her waist, focusing attention on the slimmest area. The addition of a bright handbag draws the eyes down and away from your bust. The overall look is comfortable and casual. If you have an inverted triangle body shape, you can also work the full body jumpsuit. Once again start with an all-black jumpsuit. Draw the attention away from broad shoulders by adding a magnificent pair of black heels and cuff the hem slightly to show them off. This gives the illusion that the heels are an extension of the jumpsuit which in turn elongates your leg. Avoid a necklace as this can sometimes add width to the shoulders of an inverted triangle. Instead substitute it with some statement earrings and try wearing your hair up. This will show off your neck and make you look taller. Fringing is huge on runways around the world at the moment. I have incorporated this trend in the statement clutch. The clutch gives another point of interest and adds width to your slim hips and thighs creating an hour glass look. So sophisticated. I have created beautiful looks for different body shapes today. I hope I have inspired you to create your own beautiful look.
All that Glitters is Sequins, Beads and Bling!! | MA BELLE ALLURE | Florence and Marabel Videos September 17, 2016December 26, 20160 You can look fabulous in sequins, beading and bling. With a few styling tips you can rock this fashion trend regardless of your body shape and feel confident stepping out in a bit of bling in the evening or during the day. Thanks to: Boutique: Florence and Marabel @florenceandmarabel #florenceandmarabel Videographer: Sarah Robinson www.thevideobox.com.au Hair and Makeup: @keeleyshaemua, Facebook keeley-shae gilligan Models: Cara Gilligan, Gabrielle Witenden Stylist: Ma Belle Allure Video Transcript: Bling | Ma Belle Allure | Florence and Marabel Hello, I’m Simone Parker from Ma Belle Allure. Thanks for dropping by. For this series of styling videos, I am very excited to have collaborated with Toowoomba boutique, Florence and Marabel to show you one of the latest fashion trends - sequins and all types of glittery embellishments. In years gone by, sequins would mainly be seen on evening or bridal wear but now it is acceptable to show daywear glitz and create a very modern look. To achieve a modern day wear look, team your glitz with denim, and even sneakers. The addition of this great split, eyelet skirt, a white denim jacket and these fabulous rose gold earrings makes a statement. For the final touch choose a great pair of sunglasses that suit your face shape. Even though you are wearing sneakers, you don’t have to limit this look to daylight hours. Sneakers are so on-trend but also so comfortable that it’s totally acceptable to wear sneakers in the evening. For more of a traditional evening look I have teamed this gorgeous sequin cami with the same fabulous split eyelet skirt. An elegant heel with rose gold embellishments matches seamlessly with these fabulous rose gold earrings. So with a can see that by changing your accessories you can easily transition sequins from evening to modern day wear. Another look you can try if you’re not comfortable with so much glitz is teaming this great embellished blouse with a similar tone skirt. The embellishments on this blouse are feminine but not overwhelming and the lower neckline flatters most bust sizes. Wearing the same tone creates a long line silhouette. Some fabulous gold and silver jewellery adds elegance to this look. The addition of a heel makes you appear taller and lengthens your leg. If you have a bit of a tummy, the soft flowing fabric of this blouse worn out will help camouflage this area. You can also team this look with a longer jacket to create long lean vertical lines. A jacket like this can hide a lot. Make sure that the jacket fits the shoulder perfectly and is the correct length for your height – a petite body can look shorter if the jacket is too long. We have created a number of looks with a couple of fashion items that can be worn for both day and evening.
LITTLE PARTY DRESSES | MA BELLE ALLURE | SFH DESIGNS Videos September 12, 2016December 7, 20160 I love a Little Party Dress and I’ve got a number in my wardrobe just waiting for the right occasion to wear them. In the words of one of my very clever girlfriends “buy the dress and create the occasion to wear it!” True words of wisdom!!!! This video contains a number of little party dresses for several different body shapes. Thanks to: Boutique: Florence and Marabel www.florenceandmarabel.com.au @florenceandmarabel #florenceandmarabel Videographer: Sarah Robinson www.thevideobox.com.au Hair and Makeup: #keeleyshaemua, @keeley-shae gilligan Models: Cara Gilligan, Gabrielle Witenden Stylist: Ma Belle Allure Video Transcript: Little Party Dress | Soubret Pink | Ma Belle Allure Hi I’m Simone Parker from Ma Belle Allure. The Little Party Dress is a worthy investment for anyone’s wardrobe but not all styles suit all body shapes. In this video I will show you styles for your body shape. This pretty little party dress with its fitted bodice and full skirt suits a pear or triangle body shape. The thin belt emphasises your slim waist and the full skirt falls nicely over your bottom and thighs. Some prints may make you look bigger but in this little party dress the background colour is more dominant than the small print so flatter your curves. Adding a necklace draws the attention toward your slim upper body and compliments your thin red belt. Team your dress with a nude shoe to elongate your leg, and make you look taller and slimmer. The opulent heavy and luxurious see-through lace in this style from SFH Designs in Brisbane is so on-trend. Cut-away shoulders can make the inverted triangle look top heavy, however the beautiful sheer, slightly flared hemline on this dress balances the proportions and gives you more of an hour glass shape. The tie around the middle highlights your waist. The shorter length of the wide sleeve is also very flattering as it finishes at a similar level to your slim waist. The dress is a statement in itself so complement it with a great pair of earrings and a stunning pair of shoes. The neckline on this little black peplum dress also from SFH Designs in Brisbane is flattering on your fuller bust. It gives good coverage but is still feminine. Be careful when you wear a peplum that there is enough distance between it and your bust or it can make you look top-heavy. You can add some interest to all-black through your accessories. I love the classic colour combination of cream and black, so I have added cream, tassel earrings, put Gabby’s hair up, which shows of her neck and makes her look taller and added these great cream and black T-bar heels. This is a great look for the office or an evening out. I hope I have given you some tips today on how to style a little party dress for your body shape and you are inspired to create your own beautiful look.
